MMG Adds New Sponsors for "Ultimate Mini
Challenge"

September 22, 2003: Mackey Marketing Group (MMG)
of Atlanta has signed three new sponsors for the
upcoming "Ultimate Mini Challenge" (UMC)
presented by Mini Mania. MMG negotiated sponsorship
promotions with BBS Wheels, Cobalt Friction
Technologies and Beta Tools. In addition, Mackey
Marketings own Priv8teer in Racing agreed to be
a participant sponsor of the event. Other sponsors of
the event include Mini of San Francisco, Brecht Mini,
Tire Rack and Phoenix International Freight
Forwarders.
"The Ultimate Mini
Challenge is an exciting format and the response has
been outstanding," said MMG president, Brian
Mackey. "With very little lead time, several
companies immediately stepped up and indicated that
they wanted to be a part of the excitement. Mini
Mania is planning to expand the event next year to
provide even greater opportunity for the event, for
the Mini enthusiasts across the country and for
UMCs sponsors."
The 2003 Ultimate Mini
Challenge is a racing event scheduled to take place
on October 3-5, 2003 at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca. It
is part of the "Road & Track U.S. Sports Car
Invitational." The UMC competition features race
prepared classic Minis and new BMW-produced MINIs
competing on track at the same time. In addition to
the racing activity there is a Mini Car Corral where
non-race prepared Minis can participate in the event
and win prizes.
