MMG Signs Long Ball Golf Competitor, Mark Mann

Mackey Marketing Group is pleased to announce the signing of Mark Mann, a professional golf long ball competitor. Mann represents the second new client for the veteran sports marketing agency signed in 2003 outside of its traditional area of expertise in motorsports. It is part of a planned expansion of Mackey Marketing services that fall outside of the agency’s core constituency.

"We will continue to provide services for the motorsport community," said agency president, Brian Mackey. "We like action sports and motorsports provides the best visual and sensory experience anywhere. It is difficult to exceed the excitement factor found at a motor race event. However, as the sports marketing field broadens and provides sponsors with greater choices from which they can benefit, we wanted to be positioned to take advantage of these new action oriented strategies. We will consider expansion only into select areas that, while outside of motorsports, offers continued focus on excitement, fast action and visual appeal. Mark Mann and the sport of Long Ball competitions is the type of action oriented sports activity we have been looking to get involved."

Mackey’s strategy is to take the principal elements that makes motorsports the dominant event marketing category in the world, and transfer the agency expertise into other related action-oriented sports. It is this blend of action that will continue to provide the foundation of MMG clientele.
